Maliparbat mines

Maliparbat Bauxite Mine is a captive mine of Hindalco Industries Ltd. spread across the villages Aligaon, Kankarmba, and Sorishpadar under Pottangi tehsil of Koraput district, Odisha. The mine covers an area of 268.11 hectares and currently operates at a production capacity of 0.6MTPA. A proposal is underway to increase this capacity to 0.9MTPA.

In addition to mining activities, the mine carries out other ancillary jobs such as PD and CSR activities for affected people, green belt development near the core and buffer zones under the guidance of the DFO and State Pollution Control Board, and systematic environmental monitoring.
