Sukanta Das is a seasoned logistics professional with over two decades of experience across a diverse range of industries encompassing Logistics, Retail, Media, e-commerce and manufacturing. He has over 25 years of experience in the areas of Retail & E-commerce operation, Transportation, Warehousing, EXIM management, Hub operation, Call Centre management and Studio operation.

Prior to joining Hindalco, Mr. Das was the Chief Operations Officer at Aditya Birla Online Fashion where he was one of the founding members who was pivotal in setting up the entire back-end operating system and infrastructure from scratch to scale for the fastest concept-to-launch fashion portal abof.com. In the past, he has worked in organisations like Safexpress Pvt. Ltd., Bennett, Coleman and Company Limited, Videocon Industries Limited, Reliance Big Entertainment, Network 18 Group etc.

Mr. Das is an active member of various industry bodies and has been part of the CII Council of Logistics. He has also represented the industry to work with the government in forming the recent National Logistics Policy. His achievements in business have earned recognition at various reputed platforms, the most recent being awarded the 'Top 10 Most Impactful Logistic Leaders' at the Supply Chain & Logistic World Summit in February '23.

Mr. Das did his management in Logistics from IISWBM, Kolkata. He is married to Soumi, a former corporate professional and now a teacher. Their only son, Saarnav, is pursuing his passion to make a profession in Sports Journalism. Mr. Das is a car enthusiast and loves to drive his family on road trips, travelling across the country.
