Mr. Kailash Pandey

Business Head - Mining and Cluster Head - Sambalpur

Mr. Kailash Pandey currently serves as Cluster Head, Sambalpur Cluster and Head, Mining Business at Hindalco Industries Limited.

Mr. Pandey's journey with Hindalco began as a Graduate Engineer Trainee at Renukoot. Over the years, he has held pivotal roles within the Projects and Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) departments. In 2014, he transitioned to Aditya Aluminium as the Head of Smelter, where he successfully led the operation and maintenance of a state-of-the-art AP36 technology-based smelter with an annual capacity of 360 kTPA.

In 2017, he was appointed as the Unit Head of Aditya Aluminium, overseeing one of the world's lowest-cost, high-purity aluminium production plants.

Mr. Pandey holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Electrical Engineering from BIT Sindri. He is also a distinguished alumnus of Harvard Business School, having completed its prestigious Advanced Management Program. His professional credentials include being a Certified Energy Auditor (BEE) and a Certified Chartered Engineer (Institution of Engineers). Additionally, he holds a patent in aluminium smelter technology.

Throughout his career, Mr. Pandey has been honoured with numerous accolades, including the Chairman’s Distinguished Leader, Values Role Model, Exceptional Contributor, and Outstanding Leader awards.
